BLANCHARD ― State authorities have been called in to investigate after a standoff with local law enforcement left a suspect and two other people dead in a small town about 30 miles south of Oklahoma City.

Just after 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, deputies with the McClain County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check request at a home near Coyle Drive and 300 Street after a neighbor reported hearing possible gunshots.
