Buck Martinez seemed a bit on edge while calling the Toronto Blue Jays game on Wednesday, one which they won in extra innings by a 4-3 final.
Martinez’s issue wasn’t with the Blue Jays, nor their opponent, the Houston Astros. Instead, he took a swipe at the New York Yankees, who, at the same time, were trailing big to the Detroit Tigers in a game they wound up losing 12-2.
Despite the Yankees being only three games back of the Blue Jays for the top spot in the AL East with an 80-64 record, Martinez made it clear that he doesn’t think the Yankees are all that.
