The Federal Aviation Administration continues to investigate the crash of a single-engine biplane that occurred on the afternoon of Sept. 9 east of Dover.

The pilot was not injured during the crash, according to the plane's owner and Delaware State Police, who assisted the FAA following the crash on Sept. 9.

A Grumman G-164 hit power lines and crashed in a wooded area near Chandelle Airport east of Dover about 4:10 p.m., the FAA said in a statement.

Only the pilot was on board.

There were no signs of a crash scene at the airport on the morning of Sept. 10, and no one was seen walking around the property, which is located between Leipsic and Little Creek.
