MITCHELL — On September 4, the City of Mitchell Police Department announced the promotion of two of its officers and welcomed a new member to its merit board.

Officer Jake Kuhlman has been named Assistant Chief of Police, while Officer Garrett Jacobs has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In addition, Ray Christy was sworn in as a member of the city’s police merit board, which helps oversee department operations and personnel matters.

City officials said the promotions and appointments reflect a continued effort to strengthen leadership within the department and recognize the dedication of its officers.

The Police Department thanked Kuhlman, Jacobs, and Christy for their service and commitment to the community.
