An 18-year-old woman is in serious condition after she was impaled in the chest by rebar that flew through a windshield while she was riding in a car on a Utah highway, authorities said.
On Monday, Sept. 8, at 2:40 p.m. local time, a Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Route 189 near milepost 18 by the Wyoming border when a “concrete form stake” came up over a barrier and went through the windshield, the Utah Department of Public Safety said in a release.
