New footage reveals that in the final moments of her life, Iryna Zarutska’s fellow passengers tried to help her. The Ukrainian refugee had collapsed to the floor underneath her seat on the Lynx Blue Line train in Charlotte following the stabbing attack- when a number of train riders ran over and bent down beside her, trying to offer aid. Heroic passengers reportedly tried to perform CPR on the 23-year-old victim, as one man took his shirt off to dress her wound, and another ran to tell the train operator what had happened and get them to stop the train.
