THURSDAY’S GAMES

Maranatha (2-1) at San Marino (1-2), 7 p.m.: The Minutemen took one on the chin last week against Rio Hondo Prep, 42-0, but so will a lot of teams. They looked great opening the season with wins over Arroyo and Artesia, and junior quarterback Cooper Berry is the real deal. He is averaging nearly 300 yards per game passing with nine touchdowns. Berry had his moments against Rio Hondo Prep, passing for 204 yards. But his three interceptions were game changers. Look for Berry and receiver Nico Vergara to get back on track.
