CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More teen suspects are now charged with killing a 16-year-old in mid-August .
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced Wednesday that a 15-year-old suspect was arrested on September 5, 2025, and charged with first-degree murder in the death of 16-year-old Tyshaun Stokes. A 14-year-old was also charged with first-degree murder that day, along with a 16-year-old suspect for first-degree murder.
Previously, two other suspects - ages 14 and 16 - were also arrested. On Sept. 4, another juvenile suspect - aged 16 - was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
In total, six teens now face charges in Stokes' death.
