A motorcycle rider died Tuesday after being hit multiple times by motorists on Interstate 75 in southwest Detroit, police said.
Michigan State Police said troopers were called at about 10:30 p.m. to northbound I-75 near Dearborn Street for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a man lying motionless on the roadway.
Medics arrived first and told troopers that the 41-year-old man was deceased, according to authorities.
Troopers said evidence indicated the victim had been struck several times by different vehicles, including a semi-truck. However, they found no trucks in the area.
As they investigated, dispatchers received a call from a semi truck driver who reported that his vehicle had struck something while traveling on I-75 in the same area, but continued to the city of Warre
