LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — One of the suspects who pleaded guilty in the death of an English Bulldog faced sentencing Wednesday morning.
Isaac Laushal Jr., 32, has been sentenced to 16 to 24 months in prison, with 248 days credit for time already served. The court also ruled he will pay restitution to the rescue who attempted to save the bulldog, later named Reba by her rescuers.
Reba was found on July 26 last year near Maryland Parkway and Twain Avenue during a 100-degree day. Despite medical intervention, she died from a heatstroke.
Laushal and the second suspect, Markeisha Foster, were arrested Dec. 7 and faced animal abuse charges for Reba’s death. Foster also reached a plea deal and was later released. She’s expected back in court on the Sept. 15.
