Spotify released a highly anticipated "'lossless" audio feature for premium members on Wednesday.

The feature, originally called Spotify HiFi , was first announced in 2021 at the Stream On event. The rollout was delayed for years -- until now.

“The wait is finally over," said Gustav Gyllenhammar, VP Subscriptions, Spotify.

The feature, now rebranded as "Lossless," is gradually being rolled out across more than 50 countries. Premium members will receive a notification once it becomes available to them and can enable it directly on their listening device.
