City of Vincent mayor Alison Xamon hasn’t held back on her frustration and disappointment with the WA Planning Commission’s recent decision to approve amending conditions for two batching plant proposals in north Claisebrook.

Ms Xamon said at Tuesday’s council meeting the decision by the WAPC to support Holcim and Heidelberg’s proposed changes in relation to noise, decommissioning and remediation were “incredibly disappointing”.

The commissioners voted to allow the companies to remove only selected structures above ground.

Ms Xamon said in an “utterly predictable” move, both Heidelberg and Holcim appealed several conditions of approval, specifically the requirements to remove all structures and remediate the land.
