HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - According to the Carmi Police Department (CPD), a power outage for Carmi has been planned.

The CPD says there will be a planned power outage on September 11 beginning at 8:30 a.m. It is planned to last for about two hours. The impacted areas will be: • Even numbered addresses located in the area of 104-112 Lexington Avenue • Even numbered addresses located in the area of 1304-1406 Oak Street • All of Woodlawn • The addresses of 1300 through 1308 on Gilpin

Officers say addresses located in the following areas should expect to have no power for about three hours: • 108 and 100 Woodlawn • 1326 Oak Street

The CPD explains purpose of the outage is replace a pole.

A spokesperson says, "The city of Carmi regrets any inconvenience."
