LONDON — After a nearly nine hour-long hearing held at the Laurel Judicial Center Friday, London City Council members appointed a new mayor following the removal of Randall Weddle.

Weddle, who took office in January 2023, faced 11 amended charges of misconduct and willful neglect under KRS 83A.040(9). The allegations were as follows:
