Two people have been charged with felony child abuse in Eden, according to a release by the Eden Police Department.
On Aug. 7, police received a call about a child who was at Annie Penn hospital for medical attention and responded to the hospital to investigate, the release said.
Following an investigation, police charged Hannah Leighann Sheckells, 19, and Corey Hunter Latour, 22, with felony child abuse.
According to arrest warrants, Sheckells and Latour are charged for malnourishing the child.
Sheckells was then taken to the Rockingham County jail and released on Sept. 8 after posting a $15,000 bond.
Latour is still currently being held in the Rockingham County jail under a $200,000 bond.
Both are scheduled to make their first court appearance on Sept. 22.
