After celebrating the Chatham Maroons’ Sutherland Cup championship, he didn’t skate when he returned home. Article content Article content

Not that he had a choice. There was no ice in Timmins.

“I got to see some buddies that I didn’t see all year,” the 18-year-old forward said. “I worked all summer. It was short but sweet. I’m happy to be back now, but it was a fun summer.”
