Providing a wide range of comfortable home options across Ponoka County for 65 years now, the Rimoka Housing Foundation is grateful for the supportive community they serve as they plan for growth in the years to come.

It all started out pretty small when the original lodge opened its doors back in November of 1960, said Lorne Fundytus, CAO of the Rimoka Housing Foundation.

“My understanding of it is that in July of 1960, when the original lodge was constructed with the residents moving in November of 1960, this part of the Ponoka community grew up around this facility,” he said.

“You can see a barn to the east in an original picture as an example. The high School and hospital came after the lodge.
