Dans Locmelis made a quick fan out of Providence Bruins coach Ryan Mougenel last spring.
Locmelis, the Bruins fourth round pick in the 2022 draft, joined Mougenel’s team after his sophomore season at Umass and the young Latvian simply ripped it up, notching 3-9-12 totals in just six regular season games.
But Mougenel was impressed with all facets of the 21-year-old’s game, not just the instant offense he provided. Mougenel, in fact, went so far as to say that he will be a name to watch in the Bruins’ upcoming training camp.
