Yuma County football teams did not fare well this past weekend, with only Gila Ridge coming away with a win.

Despite poor results in the win column, there were still plenty of shining performances in between the lines across the state.

Leading the performances with this week’s choice of Athlete of the Week was San Pasqual senior receiver/defensive back Isaiah Martinez, who showed out on both sides of the ball in a 52-34 loss at Kingman Academy.

Martinez hauled in 10 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns, leading all San Pasqual receivers in each category. Defensively, he led the team with 12 total tackles and two interceptions in the loss.

Martinez is by far and away the most talented player on the field for the Warriors. On offense, he led the team with 49 receptions for 639 yards
