“He had a good first year of junior hockey last year and making the jump to Junior ‘A’ was his next step. We look forward to watching him very closely with the Powassan Voodoos and seeing him develop into the player that we think he can be.”

Peter Goulet, Voodoos head coach is very excited to work with Brown this season.

“Devran is entering his first year of junior ‘A’ hockey,” he said.

“He is more than ready to play no question about it. He has good size and great poise for a young Dman. This young man’s ceiling is very high and I am looking forward to watching him grow as a player.”

Brown and the Voodoos hit the ice Friday night for their regular season home opener as they take on the Soo Thunderbirds. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at the Powassan Sportsplex. Article content Article
