The Atlanta Braves have had Brian Snitker as their manager since 2016. He has won a World Series, but he is reportedly expected to retire.
Snitker is 69 years old, and his contract expires after this season. Once the season ends, he will have been with the organization for 50 years. If he does retire, he will leave an attractive manager job vacant.
The Braves have plenty of talent and could quickly become World Series contenders again next season. ESPN's Buster Olney noted that former Miami Marlins manager Skip Schumaker could be an option to take the Braves job.
Schumaker is currently working with the Texas Rangers, and Olney also called him an option to replace Bruce Bochy. However, Bochy could continue to manage the Rangers next season, while the Braves job could open next year.
