PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles could be without a key playmaker this Sunday in their Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Tight end Dallas Goedert was not seen at Wednesday’s practice. According to 94WIP’s Eliot Shorr-Parks , Goedert has a knee sprain, leaving his status for Week 2 up in the air. It’s not considered a long-term injury.
Goedert has missed 15 games in the last three years with shoulder, forearm, hamstring and knee injuries, limiting his potential.
He led the Eagles with seven catches for 44 yards in their Week 1 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Playing on the final year of his contract, Goedert needs to stay healthy to earn an extension from the Eagles or a big contract from another team next offseason.
