Both ranked in the top 10 in Class 5A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, the Lovejoy and McKinney North volleyball teams started District 9-5A play on the right foot on Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs won their seventh straight match after topping Greenville in straight sets (25-19, 25-20, 25-8), while Lovejoy also needed just three sets to defeat Sherman (25-10, 25-10, 25-9).
