FOXBOROUGH - Stefon Diggs has Drake Maye’s back.
While the Patriots quarterback has been under fire for his performance against the Raiders in the 20-13 season opening loss, and even harder on himself in the aftermath, Diggs doesn’t seem all that worried about Maye’s ability to bounce back.
Speaking at his locker Wednesday, Diggs said Maye has plenty of support in the locker room. He was confident the coaches would put Maye in the best position to succeed starting Sunday when the Patriots travel to Miami.
As a receiver, and one of Maye’s top targets, Diggs said it was important to keep the lines of communication open.
