PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Located for a dozen years at Southland Shopping Center’s former Burlington Coat Factory building in Middleburg Heights, the Cleveland Furniture Bank recently moved north on Pearl Road into Parma Heights.
“The move was a blessing, from the standpoint that it’s only two miles from our previous location,” Cleveland Furniture Bank Executive Director Tom Gaghan said.
“From a thrift store standpoint, we hope and believe that we will retain the customer base that we had established at that Southland location and hopefully also pick up new customers.”
Forced to relocate out of its 60,000-square-foot building due to the planned renovation of the Southland retail area, the nonprofit landed on the former 36,500-square-foot Big Lots location for its thrift store operation.
