(FORT LEONARD WOOD, MO) — Missouri’s Fort Leonard Wood is making plans to use a state grant ( Missouri Military Community Reinvestment Grant ). Dorsey Newcomb of the non-profit, Fort Leonard Wood Institute , says they’ll use the more than $100-thousand to promote the existing and future benefits of the installation locally and statewide.
“Fort Leonard Wood has a tremendous impact not only on the defense of our country, but it has an over $2 billion economic impact on the state of Missouri’s economy. And it’s some say it’s the depend on the statistics that you subscribe to. It’s like the 5th largest employer in the state,” said Newcomb.
