House Oversight Committee Reacts in Horror as it Learns of Charlie Kirk Shooting

The House Oversight Committee was meeting Wednesday when the news broke that Charlie Kirk had been shot , drawing horrified reactions from around the room and a call for prayer.

The 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University Wednesday when the shooting occurred. Video taken by students attending his speech show Kirk appearing to have been shot in the neck after the sound of a single gunshot was heard. Authorities have a suspect in custody, according to the Deseret News .
