SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The driver of an SUV led authorities on an intermittent chase on Wednesday afternoon before switching vehicles and apparently fleeing successfully from authorities.
The pursuit started in Temple City and traveled over multiple freeways, eventually leading to South Los Angeles.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., the suspect was heading northbound on the 110 Freeway before exiting and reentering the southbound side of the freeway and fleeing southbound.
The driver encountered some congestion on the freeway and exited after stopping at least once in the middle of the lanes.
At several points, the vehicle drove on the wrong side of the street, and even briefly did donuts around a California Highway Patrol cruiser.
The driver went under an underpass and ditched the SUV,
