WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The City of Wichita has hired Candy Taylor as the new executive director of the Mid-America All-Indian Museum.
Taylor has worked in museums for 17 years, most recently leading the Comanche Nation Museum and Cultural Center in Lawton, Oklahoma. She will begin her new role on Oct. 13, the city says.
The museum, located next to the Keeper of the Plains Plaza, houses thousands of Native American artifacts and works of art. Taylor will manage daily operations and help guide the museum’s future growth.
