Tribeca Studios has launched a new incubator program, which aims to empower rising filmmakers to more earnestly portray diseases and health-related stories on-screen. Tribeca created the program in partnership with Eli Lilly and Company in response to a USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative study that showed film and television shows rarely represent people living with diseases in ways that are accurate or authentic.
The program will select twenty participants to attend a creative summit in New York City this Fall, where they will receive mentorship and industry guidance while engaging in filmmaking workshops.
