GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Prisma Health has launched two new clinics in South Carolina to provide care for sickle cell patients.
The new Sickle Cell Lifespan Center, funded in part by a $2 million investment from the state, will have clinics in Greenville and Columbia to ensure access to advanced treatments.
Officials said the expansion marks a significant milestone in sickle cell care offered by Prisma Health in South Carolina, especially the expansion of the adult clinic in the Midlands. The Columbia clinic will offer advanced services, including access to disease-modifying medications, blood transfusions, transformative therapies and clinical trials for treatments.
The center’s team includes new providers, social workers, psychologists and nurse navigators. Prisma Health also
