EVERGREEN, Colo. — At least three students were shot Wednesday afternoon at Evergreen High School, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

St. Anthony's Hospital confirmed to 9NEWS they have three patients from the shooting who are in critical condition. All three patients are teenagers under 18, hospital CEO Kevin Cullinan said. Cullinan said the hospital does not believe there are any other victims.

Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jacki Kelley said the shooting was first reported at 12:34 p.m. Wednesday. The shooting happened on school grounds, but it's not known whether it was inside or outside the school, Kelley said.

She said the sheriff's office doesn't know yet the identification of the shooter or shooters, or where they are.
