Police have made two arrests after a man died following a house fire in Cambridgeshire. Two 35-year-old men from Peterborough have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

They are currently in police custody at Thorpe Wood police station, Cambridgeshire Police confirmed in an update released on Wednesday, September 10.

Police launched a murder investigation following the fatal house fire in Peterborough.

Police were called by the fire service at about 3.35am on Sunday, September 7, with reports of a fire in Wootton Avenue, Fletton, Peterborough.

Zbigniew Wasiak, 59, was found dead inside the property. A post-mortem examination was due to take place today (September 10).
