ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) - Installing a car seat can be tricky, but the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Course was taught in Anderson this week. Safe Kids of Anderson wants to make sure first responders and other professions know how to help others with properly installing a car seat.
“Coming into this course, I did not know a thing about car seats. I don't have any kids nor have any kids in my family that need a car seat,” said Kinsley Free, pediatric nurse.
The class Free is taking teaches first responders and other professionals how to better protect children in cars.
Participants must pass a written test and hands-on assessments proving they are knowledgeable about correctly installing car seats, harnessing children in a seat and making sure they know how to spot improper
