CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — The Connecticut Department of Health has issued updated COVID-19 vaccine guidance.
Health leaders are reacting to the state's recent guidance on covid vaccines. Some say it causes confusion compared to previous CDC recommendations.
"States are obviously going to need to make adjustments in light of this. You've already seen the Western Alliance," Dr. Ulysses Wu from Hartford Health Care said.
The interim guidance points to those who should get the vaccine, including pregnant patients and young children 6 months-2 years old, populations the CDC advised against getting the shot earlier this year unless agreed upon by a health care provider or parent.
