A small wildfire forced broke out Wednesday, Sept. 10, in Temecula, prompting an evacuation warning for some nearby residents.
Crews responded to the Tornado Fire around 11:50 a.m. at Via Tornado and Via Santa Rosa, according to Cal Fire Riverside County. As of about 1 p.m., the fire was mapped at 15 acres.
An evacuation warning was issued for residents east of Via Santa Rosa and Via Tornado, south of Rancho California Road and north of Camino Estribo and the Santa Margarita River and east of the 15 Freeway, according to Watch Duty.
Fire officials didn’t specify the number of structures threatened.
