ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A former Fulton County IT employee claims in a lawsuit that he was discriminated against and unfairly blamed for a cyberattack that crippled the county’s systems early last year.

Omotade Adeniyi, a U.S. citizen originally from Nigeria, filed the lawsuit against Fulton County on Monday.

Adeniyi claims his supervisor was repeatedly discriminatory toward him and the team he managed, including calling him the N-word.

The supervisor allegedly referred to the team, which included another employee from Nigeria, as “African Americans United Nations.”

He reported the remarks to human resources, but they failed to act and the supervisor’s behavior continued, according to the lawsuit.
