Governor Josh Shapiro and other state officials are issuing statements after CEO and co-founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, was shot during an event at a college in Utah Wednesday afternoon.

"Political violence has no place in our country," Shapiro said. "We must speak with moral clarity. The attack on Charlie Kirk is horrifying and this growing type of unconscionable violence cannot be allowed in our society."
