The victim of a fatal DUI and hit-and-run crash on Friday has been identified in arrest records as Jeremy Ives, a Colorado Springs resident.

Ives, 28, was crossing a cross walk with a dog at South 26th St. and West Cimmaron St. just after 10 p.m. when he was struck by a car traveling between 45 and 60 mph, according to witness accounts and a statement to police by the driver of the vehicle, 59-year-old Cameron Walsh, according to Walsh's arrest affidavit.

A witness told police that after Walsh's vehicle struck Ives and the dog, Ives was "projected" into the air, the arrest affidavit states. Walsh then allegedly left the scene.

Walsh faces 10 criminal charges, including four felony charges for vehicular homicide, failure to remain on the scene of a crash and driving under the influence.
