Multiple elected officials and government leaders, including President Donald Trump, are condemning the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk. While speaking to a large crowd at Utah Valley University Wednesday, Kirk was shot in the neck.

Videos from the event show a single shot ring out before Kirk, who was 31, grabs his neck. Kirk was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Shortly after the shooting, numerous elected officials took to social media to condemn it.

"We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
