Easton man wins $50K Powerball prize with single $2 ticket at local gas station

Easton, MD – A Talbot County man who bought a single $2 Powerball ticket at a gas station in Easton walked away with a $50,000 prize in Saturday’s $1.7 billion jackpot drawing—just one number and one dollar away from doubling his winnings.

The Easton resident picked up the ticket on Sept. 6 at the Bypass Crown gas station on Marlboro Avenue, a spot he frequently visits for lottery and scratch-off purchases. Without adding any extras, he opted for a basic Powerball draw—no Power Play, no add-ons.

Later that evening, he checked his ticket at home and discovered he had matched four of the five white balls, along with the red Powerball. The win locked in a third-tier $50,000 prize.
