ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Wednesday is the first day of the National Championship Air Races being held for the first time in Roswell at the Air Center this year. The races were previously held in Reno since 1964. The event kicked off on Wednesday morning in Roswell, bringing this exciting NASCAR in the sky race to aviation enthusiasts across the country. "This is pretty special to be here at the first one, and we're happy with the new home," T6 Texan Race Pilot Chris Lefave said.
