The Kitsap Sun's weekly online poll for readers to vote for the top high school athletes returns this fall. Athletes are nominated by their respective coaches based on their performances from the previous week's events.

The poll will appear online each Wednesday and votes will be tallied through Friday at 10 a.m.. The top boys sport and girls sport vote-getters will be declared fall athletes of the week.

This week's nominees, based on their performances during the week of Sept. 1-6, are Bremerton's Joseph Cao and Elijah Kerns, Central Kitsap's Prestle Agana, Kingston's Chayton Sullivan, North Mason's Danner Jones, North Kitsap's Andrew Knott and ShoSho McLain, and South Kitsap's Jonah Griffin.

We'll announce the winners this week after the poll closes Friday.
