LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCTV) - In just over a month, Kansas basketball will embark on its 2025-26 season with its grand-opening event: the annual Late Night in the Phog.
The 41st edition of the event will take place on Friday, Oct. 17, at 6:30 p.m. CT, KU Athletics announced.
Gates will open for the event at 5 p.m.
The night will begin with the women’s basketball team scrimmaging. The KU women’s basketball team will be entering its 11th season under head coach Brandon Schneider and returns its top six scorers from 2024-25.
After the women’s scrimmage, the Late Night halftime will include entertainers, videos, dances with the Rock Chalk spirit squad and more. It’ll also include two individuals attempting to win $10,000 from head men’s basketball coach Bill Self if they can make a half-court sh
