Heavy rains left parts of state Road 100 under several inches of water Wednesday, prompting concerns from Flagler County residents about safety on the busy route.

The flooding comes just after heavy rainfall and affects a key roadway that serves as the county's main evacuation route.

"We're right in front of state Road 100, just past the bridge, and take a look. It is several inches underwater. Residents here say this is concerning for this to happen after just some heavy rains," reporter Pamela Comme said.
