NICHOLS, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - A motorcyclist died in Nichols over the weekend after running his bike off the road.

New York State Police say 40-year-old Donald Lynn Archibald of Sayre was driving his Suzuki motorcycle south on South Main Street at around 1 o'clock in the morning on Saturday when he left the roadway for an unknown reason. His motorcycle, which was badly damaged in the crash, struck a utility pole and Archibald was declared dead at the scene.
