JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Jerome Middle School’s main heat exchanger has broken.

On Sept. 4, Jerome Middle School’s main heat exchanger began having issues and has now completely failed, according to a Facebook post by the Jerome School District.

“Our dedicated maintenance team has been working tirelessly since September 4th to identify and address this problem,” wrote the school district.

The school placed industrial fans around the building and is running the ventilation system to circulate cooler air. An HVAC technician was called to inspect the issue and determine how to resolve it. The school may need a rental unit installed if other options are not possible.
