NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - After not having a representative in each of the past three Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame classes, Cenla will be well represented at the 2026 festivities.
Starting with Alexandria native Warren Morris, who was a standout player for the Bolton Bears in the 1990s and went out to hit the walk-off home run in the 1996 College World Series Finals for LSU Baseball.
Morris is the third Louisiana Sports Ambassador Award given out this decade.
Morris is joined by longtime Northwestern State Men’s Basketball head coach Mike McConathy.
He is the state’s all-time leader in college basketball coaching victories. McConathy led the Demons to three trips to the NCAA Tournament, winning two games.
