TWIGGS COUNTY, Ga. — A group of concerned residents is asking Twiggs County commissioners to postpone next week's vote on a controversial data center project, arguing the community was kept in the dark about the development until just three weeks ago.

In a letter obtained by 13WMAZ, community members are requesting that the Sept. 18 rezoning hearing be delayed until Eagle Rock's proposed nine-building data center can go through the state's Development of Regional Impact process.

The letter criticizes what residents call a rushed timeline and a lack of transparency surrounding the project planned for Adams Park Drive.
