On Wednesday, New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers explained what caused the viral interaction on the sideline between him and head coach Brian Daboll. Fox broadcast cameras caught Daboll and Nabers speaking to each other animatedly at the beginning of the second quarter with the Washington Commanders leading 7-0.

On Wednesday, Nabers was asked about the incident during his news conference. Nabers said his frustration has nothing to do with his lack of targets. (The 2024 first-round pick finished the game with five receptions for 71 yards.)
